With the light beer category in decline, the biggest brands have moved away from tasting like beer, focusing instead on either watering it down to appeal to active lifestyles, or adding trendy flavors.But Miller Lite – the original light beer – has doubled down on its great beer taste. Proudly standing alone as the only light beer that actually cares about tasting like beer.

So on National Beer Day – one of beer’s biggest American sales days – the brand used their competitors’ beers against them, and turned the holiday into the perfect opportunity to talk about taste.

Beer Drops were invented as a liquid flavor enhancer that adds more beer taste to competitors’ watery light beers.

They were released in the days leading up to National Beer Day, as a not-so-subtle way to tell your friends they have bad taste in beer. After selling out in less than a minute, Beer Drops helped Miller Lite win National Beer Day, while reminding light beer lovers that tasting like beer still matters.
